King of the Pier is a quirky by nature bodyboarding contest set to be
held at one of the country’s finest bodyboarding waves, Porthleven Pier during the best weekend of waves this Autumn throws at us.

The contest will showcase the best in local and national bodyboarding talent, and as well as having a chance to be crowned KING OF THE PIER 2009 those lucky few invited to compete will also have a chance to go home with the much coverted Gayest Fancy Dress award.

Due to overwhelming demand, entry into the event will be by invitation only, featuring a carefully selected mix of top Porthleveners, Cornish, British and international bodyboarders alike.
